This  page is dedicated to the things that are going on within the chapter.  It is our goal to make this a fun, active chapter with forward thinking goals to enhance and build a diverse chapter.  We’re always looking for fresh ideas and new members.  If you have an opinion or suggestion please pass it along!

John Justice Named President!! ~ Mike Mayer and his family are relocating back to the west coast.  Mike has chosen John Justice to finish his current term as President.  Please support John in his new role.

2008 Lake Wheeler Boat Show ~ Vice President and boat show chairman Charles Mansfield is already working on this years boat show.  This is a tremendous undertaking and any help is greatly appreciated.  Even the little contributions make a big difference.  If you can’t help prepare for the show we’d still love for you to attend.  September 29, 2007.

Greater Raleigh Boat Show ~ Thanks to Bob Banta our chapter just had the opportunity to participate in the Greater Raleigh Indoor Boat show, held temporarily at a warehouse on Gresham Lake Road.  Both Kevin Leiner and Bob Banta were kind enough to bring their boats and we had tremendous interest from the public.  We expect to gain a few new members as a result of this event.  Bob is currently working on getting us space at the upcoming show at the Fairgrounds.

You should file a claim annually providing original receipts. You may file for purchases made three years back.
The forms are available on the NC Department of Revenue site http://www.dor.state.nc.us/downloads/motor.html. Form 1201 is year-specific, so be sure to download the appropriate form. The instructions are included in a separate document that you should print out and read carefully.

Youth Development ~ Getting younger people involved in these boats is the only way we’ll continue to preserve these boats for the next generation.  Kevin Leiner and I are working on programs that will be interesting and beneficial to the younger members or our chapter and community.  If you’d like to help out or have an idea we’d love to hear from you.

Workshops ~ John Justice is working on locations and content for our first workshop.  If there’s a topic that’s of interest to you please let us know and we’ll see what we can do.
